CEDAR RAPIDS — Local women-owned businesses will share their products and services at the Women-Owned Business Market at NewBo City Market tomorrow. Vendors and businesses at the market will include bakery shops, photography and home goods; see the event listing for the names of all businesses showcased. Expect samples to be available. You can swing by NewBo, 1100 3rd St. SE, anytime between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

CR Pride hosts "Will & Harper" documentary Sunday

CEDAR RAPIDS — Watch Will & Harper,” a film featuring comedian/actor Will Ferrell and his best friend Harper Steele’s “coming out” as a transgender woman, is showing for free at 2 p.m. Sunday. CR Pride, which organizes Cedar Rapids’ annual LGBTQ+ Pride event, is hosting the event at the Cedar Rapids Public Library’s Whipple Auditorium, 450 Fifth Ave. SE. Children under 17 need an adult to tag along for this R-rated documentary. Attendance is free, but pre-registration is required here. 

TDOV Drag & Burlesque  at Studio 13

Burlesque in Iowa City, potluck in Coralville for TDOV

JOHNSON COUNTY — Two events are on for Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) Saturday in SouthEast Iowa. A community potluck dinner is 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Society (UUS), 2355 Oakdale Rd., Coralville. Then at 8 p.m., the Trans-Mission Variety Show featuring burlesque and drag starts at Studio 13, 13 S. Linn St., Iowa City. The potluck dinner is open to all, so feel free to bring a dish. The burlesque and drag show is for adults only. Also coming up Monday for the Transgender Day of Visibility: a reception for the photo series This Body of Work and a screening of Bye Bye Love at FilmScene to benefit Iowa Trans Mutual Aid Fund, and a TDOV rally at College Green Park 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
