This “pay what you can” event will feature Dwana Bradley, general chairperson of Iowa Juneteenth, which takes place annually in mid-June with several events to honor June 19, 1865, when thousands of slaves in Texas were freed two years after they were supposed to already have been freed by the Emancipation Proclamation. Bradley has also been owner of Iowa Urban Media in Des Moines since 2017.
