Lockport offers three chances to talk about data centers

LOCKPORT — Explore some of the toughest questions about data centers in a series of public workshops happening today, Monday and June 25 in Lockport. The workshops are a chance to discuss power and water infrastructure, environmental concerns, impact on transportation and protecting residents from pollution. Lockport isn’t yet facing a proposed data center, but a real estate developer is seeking to help the city accept proposals. The workshops start at 7 p.m. and take place at Lockport Township High School Auditorium, 1333 E. 7th St.

Amatones summer music camp seeks signups

NAPERVILLE —A summer music camp run by a high school student is now accepting registrations from kids and teens in grades 2 through 12 (Positively Naperville). Amatones will offer its camp June 1 to 25 in Naperville,  providing a chance for youth and teens to receive choral and instrumental mentoring from experienced musicians. Founded by Alex Amato, a pianist and senior at Naperville North High School, Amatones aims to provide music and leadership skills through workshops and concerts. The four-week camp takes place at Grace Point Church, 1320 E. Chicago Ave.. Rehearsal camps are held  at Grace Point Church, with registration of $40 to $85. Sign up and learn more here.

Joliet Pride Network hosts “Mandalorian and Grogu” Tuesday

BOLINGBROOK — The latest in a series of family-friendly movie nights by the Joliet Pride Network happens Tuesday.  “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu” , will show at Regal Cinemas, 1222 W. Boughton Rd., with a discounted admission of $5 that includes concessions. Joliet Pride Network hosts the discounted movie nights every fourth Tuesday. Learn more about the group here.
