- The Garden Nightclub continues preparation for its new location at 525 E. Grand Ave. in Des Moines. The Des Moines LGBTQ+ nightclub closed temporarily earlier this year at its old location and is making renovations at its new spot.
- Shakespeare’s Pub & Grill in Iowa City is seeking a breakfast cook.
- Velvet Lotus Tattoo in iowa City is seeking a professional tattoo artist.
- Key City Pride has opened registration for its first-ever LGBTQ Rainbow Conference coming April 22-23. Featured speakers include Keenan Crowe of One Iowa Action in this event, with proceeds to benefit Key City Pride and its efforts to organize LGBTQ pride events in the Dubuque, Ia., area.
- United Action for Youth, based in Iowa City and serving teens and their families throughout Johnson County, will offer this year’s PrideCon virtually and for a week, in March. Youth and their families throughout Iowa and Illinois are welcome to participate. Find information here.
ILLINOIS
- The Clock, Inc., an LGBTQ+ community center in Rock Island that serves the entire Quad Cities area, has moved to a new, larger location. You can now find Clock Inc. at 4102 46th Ave. in Rock Island.
- The Red Ribbon Gala, a fundraiser for The Project of the Quad Cities, is happening June 21 and very carefully this year, with social distancing and masks required. The Project welcomes potential sponsors and attendees to reach out here.
