
Pride Night at Niabi Zoo features drag, LGBTQ+ resources
COAL VALLEY — Enjoy hundreds of zoo animals, LGBTQ+ community resources, drag and entertainment at Pride Night at Niabi Zoo Thursday. Partnering with the zoo is the Quad Cities Pride Alliance. that coordinates the annual Quad Cities PrideFest. From 5 to 8 p.m., enjoy story time with animals, music, drag queen Bentley Ballenciaga (board member Chad Rose) giving family-friendly performances, booths from Quad Cities organizations, arts and crafts, and more. Admission is $11; Niabi Zoo is located at 13010 Niabi Zoo Rd.

Toiletry, hygiene supplies urgently needed
ROCK ISLAND — Washcloths, towels, undergarments, and deodorant are among the key donations needed by the Family Advocacy Center (FAC), which helps community members including the unhoused tackle basic needs. The FAC is almost out of many supplies while also experiencing an influx of unhoused, who often turn to the FAC’s on-site shower and changing room, says program manager Trameka Woods. Located at the Martin Luther King Jr., Center, the FAC is also urgently in need of lotion, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, razors and toiletries for women. The Project, River Bandits team up for Pride Night
DAVENPORT — Watch a semi-professional baseball game and celebrate Pride month at Pride Night with the semi-professional Quad Cities River Bandits Thursday. This annual event is hosted by The Project of the Quad Cities (TPQC), the area’s key provider of HIV and gender transition services, since 2022. This year, the River facing off against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Tickets range from $13 to $19.50; grab yours here.  The game is at Modern Woodmen Park, 209 S Gaines St.
