Additional space and products are part of Corner Store Apothecary’s new expansion.Their CBD, hemp oil and alternative products store at is now about twice as large. Corner Store, at 1612 C St. in Cedar Rapids’ Czech Village, carries natural healing and health products including bulk tea, spices and powders; salves and lotions; handmade jewelry; and natural personal and pet products. The store is operated by the Loeffler family, the state’s leaders in CBD advocacy.

Molly Quast, who is fast building a fan following for her fades and short women’s haircuts, is now opening her own salon. Her Fresh Feel Fade Salon and Spa has taken over the salon space and she is seeking a massage therapist and additional stylists. The former Iconic’s at 5170 S. 1st Ave. is expected to be fully redone this month. Quast is joined by fellow stylist Ashley Johnson.

One Iowa has hired a new executive director, a new assistant director, and a new liaison for eastern Iowa. Dan C. Royer, who was recently head of the Iowa Alliance in Home Care and has a long history with Capital City Pride, is now in the group’s top position. Courtney Reyes has settled into the assistant exective director role after serving as interim executive director briefly. Marti Payseur, formerly of Des Moines, is the new Cedar Rapids/Iowa City stewardship and events coordinator.
